IGF-1 LR3

What it is

IGF-1 is what the liver makes once growth hormone does its work, and it does most of the work in tissues that growth hormone gets the credit for. The LR3 version has an extended start and one replaced building block.

How it works

In blood, IGF-1 is normally held by binding proteins which decide how much is freely available. The modifications in LR3 keep those proteins from getting a grip, so it stays active far longer.

What the research shows

In cell culture this is a standard reagent, widely used to grow cells. As a research compound for tissue the evidence is preclinical.

Research status

Preclinical.

Practical

At 83 amino acids this is not a short peptide but a small protein: sensitive to heat and shaking, and cool dark storage is no formality here.
