KPV

Three amino acids, left over from a larger hormone once the pigment part is removed.

PropertyValue
TypeTripeptide
OriginThe tail end of alpha-MSH
Research fieldInflammatory responses, gut wall, skin
Research statusPreclinical
FormFreeze dried powder

What it is

Alpha-MSH is a hormone with two sides: it influences pigment and it dampens inflammatory signalling. KPV is the short stretch in which only that second part remains.

How it works

The literature links it to blocking signalling routes involved in inflammation, including inside the cell. Unlike the whole hormone it has no effect on pigment formation.

What the research shows

Most work concerns gut inflammation in animal models and skin. It is a relatively small research field next to BPC-157 or GHK-Cu.

Research status

Preclinical.

Practical

A chain of three amino acids is compact and therefore keeps well as a powder. KPV is the fourth component in the KLOW blend.
